Adobo Glaze

Ingredients
5 garlic cloves, crushed
1 tsp peppercorns
2 tbs honey
1 cup soy sauce
1 cup spiced white vinegar
1 tbs olive oil
1/4 cup water
1 tbsp corn starch

 

Directions

  1. Heat the oil in a medium sauce pan. Add the garlic and peppercorns and cook over medium high heat until garlic is browned
  2. Add soy sauce and vinegar. Then stir in the honey.
  3. Combine the corn starch and water in a small bowl and stir until corn starch is completely dissolved. Add to the pan.
  4. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Remove sauce pan from heat and let it cool for 30 minutes.
  6. Pour sauce through a strainer and discard the garlic and peppercorns
  7. Refrigerate overnight
